Francis Filmmaker Needs Music For His Film!
Francis Filmmaker had a great idea for a film but he needed money to pay for it. So he decided he would create a film trailer to pitch his idea to investors. He was trying to save as much as possible but still create the best trailer he could. One thing he needed was a great underscore for his trailer and film!
Francis new that he had a couple of options to choose from to get music composed for a trailer.
He could hire a film composer to create a unique score for his movie. He was worried though as this would take him many hours to locate the most appropriate composer and he knew it would cost a lot of money. Francis was also worried that he may not be happy with the final product!
So Francis then decided he could try a music library to find an appropriate song. Francis wasn't the best at searching all the options as he didn't know what some of the terms such as tone or genre were that he needed. He also was hoping for something original to really capture the spirit of his movie.
Francis then heard about a new option available to filmmakers - crowdsourcing! Francis visited MusikPitch where he ran a song contest for his movie trailer underscore. He described the type of music he was looking for in his own words and even uploaded some of the footage from the movie. Francis then set the price he felt he could pay and sat back while songwriters around the world competed to write his music. Francis loved logging in everyday to hear the newest tracks that had been uploaded as music for his film. After two weeks, Francis chose the winning song and got a license to use that song from MusikPitch.
Francis added the music to his finished movie trailer and pitched to some big time producers in L.A. They loved it! Francis Filmmaker had his movie!
